My Portfolio

My work is a combination of the beautiful people, places and concepts in my life; portrayed through my eyes. I create art inspired by my personal experiences and my emotions. My art is a mixture of memories, ideas and interests, usually influenced by the feelings evoked from a specific place or individual. A reoccurring theme to my work is a sense of tranquility and peace. I enjoy creating art that brings forth a sense of calm happiness. Although my main method is drawing, my art has evolved into painting with various mediums as well.
I begin my art making process with simple graphite sketches, to map out my ideas. I enjoy experimenting with colours and water-based materials such as ink or acrylics. I explore many different genres of art but usually prefer a style closer to realism. I decide that my pieces are complete when I've executed the idea that I had in mind physically. When I believe that all of the aspects that I wanted to incorporate are there, or simply if the piece looks nice to me, I think of the work as finished.
